Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Southwest is a premier outpatient surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and efficient environment. We are seeking a Endoscopy Technician with experience in both scrub tech duties and sterile processing to join our PRN team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of surgical support and instrument sterilization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
• Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and stored
• Assist surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
• Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Monitor sterilizer cycles and document quality assurance checks
• Support room turnover and restocking of surgical supplies
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and SPD staff to ensure seamless operations
• Follow all facility policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing practices
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
  
  

Required Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Prior experience in sterile processing and surgical scrubbing preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center setting is a plus
